96 Elementary School Buildings In Tangerang Regency Were Heavily Damaged

TANGERANG - The Education Office (Dindik) of Tangerang Regency, Banten, said as many as 96 State Elementary Schools (SDN) in the area were severely damaged. "Of the total 743 public elementary schools in Tangerang Regency, he said, there were 96 school buildings that were heavily damaged. As many as 2.6 percent of the damaged schools, he continued, would be improved and became the focus of the Tangerang Regency Disdik. "If the provincial assistance can only help the three schools. So the repair process will be carried out in stages, because the budget we hold is limited," he said. To speed up and increase the repair quota, his party is asking for CSR assistance from both the central and provincial levels, so that the number of schools repaired every year is more. "Well, even that can't be all, at least CSR can only help two schools, maybe provincial assistance can only help three schools. So the repair process is carried out gradually," he explained. He admitted that the limited process of improvement or revitalization of SDN in Tangerang Regency was due to the number of damaged SDN. Therefore, school improvements will be carried out in stages. "The number of SDN is large. Meanwhile, the amount of SDN is not comparable to the number of schools, so the improvement process must be carried out in stages," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Tangerang District Education Office, Dadan Gandana, added that one of the SDN that will be repaired in 2024 with a budget change is SDN 1 Sukamulya, Cikupa District. "There are three classrooms that will be damaged and repairs will be made in 2024," he said.
