XL Axiata Showcases AI's Sophisticatedness For Business At Technology Days 2024

JAKARTA - PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) continues to strive to adopt Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other latest technologies to improve the quality and benefits of its service products.

Director & Chief Technology Officer of XL Axiata, I Gede Darmayusa said that currently, AI is a new technology that is quite sexy to discuss, because its utilization is so extensive.

"There is no need to doubt the sophistication of artificial intelligence (AI). Therefore, we need to understand how to use it so that what is provided by technology can be useful for us," said Gede at the Technology Days 2024 event at XL Axiata Tower, quoted from his official broadcast on Thursday, August 8.

Gede also added that XL Axiata has implemented AI technology in several parts including chatbots and virtual assistants for customer service, network optimization, fraud detection, cyber security, service optimization and customer service automation.

The telecommunications network provider company also exhibited the application of AI technology they had at the event to educate and inspire how AI could support business sustainability.

At this event, XL Axiata also discussed sustainability strategies with AI Automation. AI adoption in general can contribute to the achievement of sustainability targets which include energy use efficiency, waste management, carbon footprint monitoring, smart building management, sustainable supply chain, as well as data-based renewable energy integration.

"The future of work, AI and sustainability are interconnected topics, where sustainability is the main focus today of business people and also the government," said XL Axiata Director & Chief Enterprise Business and Corporate Affairs Officer, Yessie D. Yosetya.

Because according to Yessie, AI technology can be used to monitor and manage environmental impacts. "For example, AI can be used to optimize energy use, predict and mitigate the impact of climate change and improve waste management systems," he concluded.
