President Biden 'Uncertain' Transition Of Power Will Take Place Peacefully If Trump Loses Election
JAKARTA - President Joe Biden said on Wednesday he was unsure of a peaceful transfer of power in the United States if Republican Donald Trump lost the upcoming presidential election.
Trump is back in the United States presidential election contestation. This year, the election will be held on November 5. He will partner with Ohio Senator JD Vance
"If Trump loses, I'm not sure at all," President Biden said in an interview with CBS News, when asked if he thought there would be a peaceful transfer of power after the vote.
"He is serious about what he said. We don't take him seriously. He is serious. Everything about if we lose there will be bloodshed," added President Biden.
In a campaign performance in Ohio in March, Trump warned of a "blood spill" if he failed to win the election.
At the time, Trump was discussing the need to protect the US automotive industry from foreign competition. Trump later said he was referring to the automotive industry when he used the term.
Previously, Trump mistakenly claimed he won the 2020 election against Biden. He was later charged criminally in Washington, DC and Georgia on charges of illegally trying to overturn the election results.
