Improvement Of Liga 1 2024/2025 To Answer PSSI Challenges

JAKARTA - President Director of PT LIB, Ferry Paulus, welcomed the 2024/2025 Liga 1. As a competition operator, PT LIB continues to innovate for a better agenda.

In the new season, Ferry Paulus revealed that improvements were made. This was carried out by PT LIB in order to answer the challenge from the General Chairperson (Ketum) of PSSI, Erick Thohir.

As is known, the chairman of PSSI wants quality competitions to be ranked in the top two of Southeast Asia, and to be in the top 12 of Asian competitions.

Ahead of Liga 1 2024/2025 which will take place on August 9, 2024, Ferry Paulus explained the steps that have been and are still being carried out by PT LIB in improving the competition.

"For this year, we have ratified all existing stadiums. Then, we will repair all the assets in the stadium."

"Then, along with the repair, we will also improve infrastructure subsidies for the club's training ground," said Ferry Paulus while attending the launch of Liga 1 2024/2025 in Central Jakarta, quoted on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.

Furthermore, Ferry also said that this season the Elite Pro Academy level has collaborated with world-class consultants who handle European clubs.

"One massroot body or consultant who is already very well known. They are working with JFA, in collaboration with Thai League, Thai federation, Barcelona, PSG, then recently signed a contract with FIFA," said Ferry.

With these various steps, Ferry assessed that the future opens up opportunities for coaching to be part of the club's assets.

Stricter regulations will also be applied to Liga 1 2024/2025, such as only team captains can protest to referees to use VAR.

Ferry also added that club coaches and academies will also undergo a refresh and synergy process with consultants.

"Hopefully, this process can run better, including refreshment to the coaches. We will continue to do that so that the goal of achieving the top two targets in Southeast Asia and the top 12 in Asia can be achieved," said Ferry.
