Director General Of Dukcapil Will Take Firm Action On Officers Who Claim Blank Blangko E-KTP Stock
The Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration of the Ministry of Home Affairs will take firm action against officers who say the stock of blank electronic identity cards (e-KTP) is empty.
This was conveyed by the Director General of Dukcapil of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Teguh Setyabudi, after the release of the 2024 Semester I Clean Population Data (DKB) in Jakarta, Wednesday, August 7.
"We are sanctioned by certain individuals," said Teguh as quoted by ANTARA,
The Director General of Dukcapil will find out who the person who gave the statement related to the absence of blanks for e-KTPs.
"Is it really an individual in the dukcapil office or is there an individual outside? The person concerned then tries to make the water cloudy so that there is an opportunity to take actions that do not fit that way," he said.
In addition, the Ministry of Home Affairs is committed to eliminating certain officers who offer services for making e-KTPs. This will certainly be a field of illegal levies that harm the community.

Until now, the availability of blank stock for e-KTP, according to him, has reached six million. Dukcapil has also not experienced a shortage of e-KTP blanks since July 2023.
"I convey to all media friends, there is no shortage of e-KTP because there are several cases like that," he concluded.
