Bali Immigration Redesigns Foreign Tourist Prohibition Cards And Obligations
JAKARTA - The Ngurah Rai Immigration Office in Badung Regency, Bali, has redesigned a prohibited card and obligations that must be obeyed by foreign tourists (tourists) while on vacation on the Island of the Gods.
"We design it so that it is easy for foreign tourists to see, simpler," said Head of the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office Suhendra in Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, Bali, Wednesday, August 7.
In the first design, he continued, Immigration together with the Bali Provincial Tourism Office made a ban and obligation (do's and don't'ts) in the form of sentences.
According to him, the design makes foreign tourists have to read it one by one so it takes time.
In the next design, it makes it simpler by using an icon without long but more compact sentences.
"In the near future, we will launch it with other relevant tourism agencies," he said, quoted by ANTARA.
The making of prohibitions and obligations is expected to provide understanding to foreign tourists regarding Indonesian law regulations to local/adat rules in Bali, so that violations committed by foreign tourists can be suppressed or prevented.
Even so, he ensured that the number of foreign tourists who were deported or violated the rules in the country in percentage was much different from the number of foreign tourists visiting Bali.
During January-June 2024, he said, there were already 2.9 million foreign tourists visiting Bali who entered through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport.

Specifically for the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, the number of foreigners who were deported reached 66 people, detention as many as 89 and detention as many as 52 people.
The number of foreigners who were refused entry during that period reached 561 people for a number of reasons, including because they were involved in a criminal case, did not have a visa, the validity period of the passport was less than 6 months, was included in the checking list to the pursuit of Interpol.
Previously, Immigration and the Bali Provincial Government issued do's and don't'ts in early June 2023 which contained eight restrictions and 12 obligations to foreign tourists.
