Retail Entrepreneurs Call Jitex 2024 Support Business Actors In The Midst Of A Global Uncertain Situation

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Shopping Center Retailers and Tenants Association (Hippindo) Budihardjo Iduansjah said that the implementation of the Jakarta International Investment, Trade, Tourism and SME Expo (Jitex) 2024 shows the commitment of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) to support business actors in the midst of uncertain global situations.

"The 2024 Jitex event shows that the DKI Provincial Government is very nervous (fast movement) in its language, very fast to support business actors in uncertain global situations. Its anticipation is to strengthen domestic trade, especially Jakarta," said Budihardjo in his remarks at the JITEX 2024 event at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Wednesday, August 7.

The man who is familiarly called Budi said that Jakarta was still the center of government and trade until now before the movement of the capital city.

Budi said, to boost this, many international investors and buyers or international buyers are needed.

"Jakarta is still the capital city and we believe that Jakarta, with all its facilities, requires many investors and international buyers to come to Indonesia via Jakarta to carry out business and so on," he said.

In accordance with the theme carried out, namely tourists and trades, Budi said buyers would be invited to see exhibitions in the morning and could do shopping or hunting culinary in the evening.

"The context in this case is that we support the buy and purchase movement made in Indonesia. In this Indonesian-made purchase, we have a desire not only to make Indonesian products known to foreign and domestic people. However, making our local brands also abroad," he said.

Thus, continued Budi, buyers can see that this Indonesian-made item is good. "That's why there is an exhibition today, including for them to shop in Indonesia. So that they shop in Indonesia, we need exhibitions that bring in tourists or buyers, believe that our brands are good," he added.

The Jitex 2024 exhibition event is one of the international exhibitions of local products and MSMEs initiated by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

This exhibition itself will take place from August 7 to August 11, 2024, located at the Cendrawasih Hall, Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Senayan, Central Jakarta. The exhibition is open from 10.00 WIB to 20.00 WIB.
