Tanayayu Is Easier To Get A Stage Outside Of Domestic Weight

JAKARTA - Intan Ayu Purnama, known as the Tanayu stage, who has been playing music for a dozen years, admitted that it was difficult to get on stage in Indonesia.

However, the 39-year-old songwriters have actually appeared in Asian and European countries in recent years.

Intan does not know for sure what is the reason for the difficulty in reaching the domestic market. He felt his music might be easier to accept in foreign market share.

"I feel like playing in Indonesia is more a struggle to attract audiences, because it may be different. But every time I play outside, the speech is different, like a different character. Maybe the music is more suitable or you have to go out first," said Intan Ayu when met at Senayan Park, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, August 6.

Intan once received advice to make her music more commercial for the Indonesian market, but according to her, this method didn't go well either. Finally, he chose to make a work he enjoyed.

"After about a few years I made commercial music in my opinion, and what I saw turned out to be that I had tried to make commercials, so I still struggled too," said Intan Ayu.

"The heart is not completely there. Finally, I made music like I think I belong there, it was me," he concluded.
