Jaecool J6 EV Similar To Land Rover Defender Officially Sold In Thailand, This Is The Price

JAKARTA - The Jaecool J6 electric car from China, which has a Land Rover Defender-like look, can now be booked in Thailand.

Citing the Paultan page, Wednesday, August 7, Jaecool J6 comes in two configurations: Long Range 2WD at a price of 1,099 million baht (around Rp501 million), and Long Range 4WD at a price of around 1,249 million baht (around Rp569 million). Deliveries will begin later this year.

Jaecool Thailand offers a special offer for the first 1,000 orders. Buyers will get a warranty for eight years or 200,000 km, including vehicles, batteries, and motors/systems. They will also receive the Garmin Forerunner 165 watch. In addition, all J6 customers will get free insurance for one year, free home chargers with installations, and roadside assistance for five years, valid for delivery before November 30.

In Indonesia, this car is known as iCar 03 under the auspices of Chery and can be ordered at the GIIAS 2024 event.

In specifications, the Jaecool J6 has a slightly shorter box shape than the Toyota Corolla Cross. The dimensions are 4,406 mm long, 1,910 mm wide, and 1,715 mm high with a wheelbase of 2,715 mm.

There are two views for this car, one with the Jaecoo logo on the front, and the other with the original iCar display and a burning front badge.

In the cabin, there are 9.2-inch instrument panels, 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreens that use Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processors, Qi 50-watt wireless chargers, a panoramic glass roof, and an optional 12-speaker Infinity sound system.

In Thailand, there are two versions of J6: one with a rear motorbike that produces 184 PS (135 kW) and 220 Nm, and the other with additional front bikes for the total system output of 279 PS (205 kW) and 385 Nm.

The 2WD version is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) 65.69 kWh with a range of 371 km WLTP. The 4WD version has a slightly larger battery (69.77 kWh) with a range of 364 km WLTP.

Regarding charging, the maximum AC rate is 6.6 kW, while DC fast charging can reach 80 kW. This car also has a V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) function that can supply up to 3.3 kW of power.
