Toyota Fortuner Falls into Ravine in Batang, 4 Passengers From Jakarta Died
SEMARANG - Four people died after a Toyota Fortuner car plunged into a ravine on the connecting road between Wonosobo and Batang in Bawang District, Batang Regency, Central Java.
Central Java Police Traffic Director Sr. Comr. Sonny Irawan said the unfortunate incident experienced by the car with police number B 2435 UBQ occurred at around 15:00 p.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB).
"A single accident involving a Fortuner carrying four people," he said as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 6.
According to him, the ill-fated car plunged into the ravine allegedly due to brake problems.
"The location of the incident was on the Krakalan incline," he added.

The police who received the report of the incident have gone to the scene to carry out an evacuation.
The passengers consisting of 1 man and 3 women died at the scene.
The identities of the four victims in the incident are Rumi Januar (50) and Suljah Terawati (52) residents of Koja, North Jakarta; Mida (59) resident of Cilincing, North Jakarta; and Ari Kusmayati (49) resident of Kebonjeruk, North Jakarta.
