PT SMI Project Manager Asks KPK To Reschedule Summons Regarding ASDP Cases Tomorrow

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) canceled examining the Project Manager of PT SMI, Muhammad Ridhwan (MR) today. He was supposed to be examined as a witness in the corruption case of the business cooperation process (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) in 2019-2022.

"The examination was carried out at the KPK's Merah Putih building on behalf of MR as PT SMI's Project Manager for Financial Advisory Work and Acquisition Business Projection Valuation," said KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardika to reporters in a written statement, Tuesday, August 6.

Tessa said MR as the witness had confirmed that he was not present. "And ask for a reschedule tomorrow," he said.

Based on information, PT SMI in question is PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur. This company is a financial advisor who calculates the reasonable acquisition value based on the financial condition and assets of the ship owned by PT Jembatan Nusantara.

Previously reported, the KPK is currently investigating cases of corruption in business cooperation (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero). It is suspected that there has been a state loss which allegedly reached Rp1.27 trillion and is still changing because the calculation continues.

A VOI source said this loss arose because the acquisition process for PT Jembatan Nusantara did not comply with the regulations. Reporting from a number of reports, PT ASDP purchased PT Jembatan Nusantara in February 2022 with a value of IDR 1.3 trillion.

This state-owned company then controlled 100 percent of PT Jembatan Nusantara shares with 53 ships under management. "The process (in carrying out business cooperation and acquisition, ed) has no legal basis," said the source.

"So all acquisition rules are violated," is still quoted from the same source.

In this case, the anti-corruption commission has also asked the Directorate General of Immigration of the Ministry of Law (Kemenkumham) to prevent four people from leaving the country. The details, namely HMAC, MYH, IP, and one other party is the private sector, A.
