Jokowi's Directive, Moeldoko Reminds The Acceleration Of The Implementation Of The MLFF Program
JAKARTA - Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP) Moeldoko emphasized the need for acceleration in the implementation of the contactless non-contact transaction system on toll roads, also known as the Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF).
He considered that this had become the direction of President Joko Widodo and had been designated as the National Strategic Program (PSN), so full support from various parties was needed to support the implementation of the program.
"This MLFF has become the President's concern, for business matters and other agreements, immediately make adjustments," said Moeldoko at the Coordination Meeting for the Acceleration of MLFF Implementation at the Bina Graha Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, August 6.
The 2013-2015 TNI Commander added that related parties in this project must communicate intensively in order to find a middle ground, especially regarding business models that can benefit both parties.
"I hope Roatex will not hesitate with this investment, and do not be rigid in negotiating. Of course, the government both have good intentions to resolve it, because this is the President's order," said Moeldoko.
Previously, the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) had provided formal and informal facilities to support the MLFF trial on the Bali Mandara Toll Road. Until now, trials with various scenarios have been carried out. As a result, some of the scenarios were declared successful and some others still needed to be refined.

Meanwhile, the Director General of Infrastructure Financing at the Ministry of PUPR, Triono Junoasmono, stated that the parties are ready to sit back together to discuss alternatives to accelerating the implementation of this MLFF. The main key key to the success of this project is good communication and negotiation, so that there is a middle way that benefits both parties," he said.
Meanwhile, the President Director of PT Roatex Indonesia Toll System, Attila Keszeg, said that his party as the Implementing Business Entity requires a clear scheme and timeline in the implementation of the MLFF. "We are ready to discuss, especially regarding the scheme and timeline of the project period, because it is related to the certainty of the investment we are making," he said.
