Kominfo Targets 30 Thousand MSMEs To Adopt Digital Technology In 2024
JAKARTA - Through the Level Up MSME Program, initiated by the Directorate General of Informatics Applications of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, the Deputy Minister of Communication and Information, Nezar Patria, targets 30 thousand MSMEs to go digital by 2024.
"In Indonesia, there are already 27 million MSMEs that adopt digital technology, it is targeted that this figure will increase to 30 million MSMEs in 2024," said Nezar in Aceh, launching his official broadcast on Tuesday, August 6.
Currently, Nezar said there are 67 percent of MSME players still struggling to maintain business. And with the adoption of digital technology, Nezar believes businesses can open up various opportunities, expand market access, and increase productivity.
In fact, Nezar added, this digital technology can minimize physical risks due to data storage in cloud computing.
"So one of the functions in overcoming this challenge is through the adoption of digital technology, this is also our theme for the Level Up MSME Workshop on this occasion," he said further.

In fact, to encourage MSMEs to go digital, Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi said that Kominfo would implement three policies to encourage the digitization of MSMEs to open opportunities for expanding market access.
First, utilizing data and technology to design efficient business strategies. Second, the development of digital skills for MSME actors. And third, utilizing digital platforms to encourage more sustainable business growth.
