Lewis Hamilton Watches His Friends Compete At The 2024 Paris Olympics

JAKARTA - Formula 1 (F1) from the Mercedes team, Lewis Hamilton, was caught on camera watching his best friend, Miles Chamley-Watson, compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics fence.

He was seen sitting in the front row with Snoop Dogg, Nina Dobrev, and Shaun White.

"A great experience at the Olympics and feeling the energy of the crowd," Hamilton wrote in his Chamley-Watson post on Instagram.

"The dedication, focus, and resilience of these competitors is extraordinary to watch closely. Chamley-Watson, I'm very proud of you, my brother."

"The challenge you have faced and overcome to get here is extraordinary. Difficulties make us stronger."

"From there we learn the biggest thing. The best is not yet coming," Hamilton said in his upload.

The post came after the United States men's foil fencing team failed to win a bronze medal in the match against France.

At that time, Chamley-Watson looked in pain after suffering a knee injury, but continued to struggle until the end.

Meanwhile, Hamilton and Chamley-Watson have been friends since the 2017 Met Gala. They have become very close since then.

The two traveled around the world to support each other in their respective sports. No exception when Chamley-Watson recently immediately won a team gold medal at the Shanghai Grand Prix in May 2024.

But outside of the season, they do more than just watching.

"We are a group of crazy people. From Paris to Australia, Namibia, Miami, Japan, Kenya, and beyond," said Chamley-Watson referring to his group of friends that includes Hamilton.

The two of them have even been seen jumping from helicopters, relaxing on cruise ships, and even swimming with sharks.

"We love to put ourselves in an uncomfortable position and this world is so beautiful. You have so much to see," he said.

So, even though his dream of winning a second Olympic medal didn't materialize, the world is ready to see what happens next for Chamley-Waston.
