JAKARTA - Afif Maulana's family asked Commission III of the DPR to thoroughly investigate the case of the death of a 13-year-old boy on the Kuranji bridge, Padang City on June 9. Afif is suspected of being a victim of brutality by the police, which until now the legal case has not been running. "I ask the father of Commission III to investigate the Afif Maulana case as fairly as possible. I am not sincere and cannot accept that the perpetrators of Afif's persecution have not been revealed, sir. I beg you sir, thank you," said Afif Maulana's mother, Anggun Andriani in an audience meeting at the DPR Building, Monday, August 5. Afianaldi's father, Afrianaldi, assessed that the West Sumatra police deliberately carried out an undue delay or handling protracted cases. So that the family came to the DPR RI to ask for help.

"I just want to convey that please help us, sir, investigate this case, sir, because what I see, I think the police seem to have postponed to investigate this case," said Afif's father, Afrinaldi. "Our witness has been presented, two people have seen it, even until now the case has not been upgraded to investigators. Now, ask for help, sir, please help us to investigate, sir, let us calm down, sir. If the perpetrators are not caught, we will not calm, sir. I hope that my child will get justice, the death is clear, sir, the case is clear," he continued.
