Widow Found Dead In Probolinggo Hotel Room, Girlfriend Not Admitting Killing
PROBOLINGGO - A 36-year-old widow was found dead in a hotel room in Bayeman Village, Tongas District, Probolinggo Regency, East Java, on Sunday night, August 4.
The victim was Yam (36), a resident of Posangit Tengah Village, Wonomerto District, Probolinggo Regency.
After the discovery of the body and processing of the crime scene (TKP), Yam's body was immediately evacuated to the morgue of the Doctor Mohamad Saleh Regional General Hospital, Probolinggo City.
Shortly after the discovery of the body, the police arrested a male pair of victims named Dedi Susanto (35) who is a resident of Posangit Ngisor Village, Wonomerto District.
To the officers, Dedi admitted that he came to the hotel with the victim. However, he denied having killed the victim and admitted to leaving the victim out of panic.
"I left because I panicked, but I immediately reported the village head for fear the victim's family came to the house and did not forgive me," he said.
The head of Posangit Tengah Village, Sunarto, revealed that the victim was a cheerful and well-known figure by residents. Every day, the victim works in a building shop.
"The status of the victim is a divorce widow who died," he said.
According to the results of the crime scene, the victim was found dead on the back of the bed with strangulation marks on the neck and bruises on the arm.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Probolinggo City Police, AKP Didik Riyanto, stated that his party was still investigating the case and conducting intensive examinations of the victim's male friend.
"We are still investigating the motive. From the crime scene, we secured bed sheets, cell phones, and the victim's clothes," said Didik.
