BYD Seal 2025 Electric Sedan Equipped With LiDAR, Improve ADAS Function

JAKARTA - BYD revealed the official image of the latest Seal electric sedan model in 2025, now the electric car that has been sold in Indonesia will adopt the LiDAR sensor and several improvements to the exterior.

Quoting from the Carnewschina page, Monday, August 5, later the electric sedan, which has a futuristic design, will enter the Chinese market on August 8, 2024, and overall its appearance is in line with the current model.

The presence of LiDAR sensors in the Seal model electric car will also improve the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) function, and the sensor is supported by BYD itself and Xiaomi.

From the images shared, Seal 2025 also received a slight change in cosmetics where the logo over the back light was changed from Build Your Dream to a bright BYD. Meanwhile, the front is also equipped with a light with a day running, as well as adopting a conventional rearview mirror and the handle of the pop-out door is still the same as the old model.

BYD Seal 2025 builds on BYD e-Platform 3.0 Evo with a high voltage 800V architecture which means it will increase charging efficiency.

In dimensions, the new Seal has not changed where it is still 4.800 mm long, 1.875 mm wide, 1,460 mm high with a wheelbase of 2.920 mm

In addition, the Seal entry level has one e-motor in the back doublet that produces 170 kW (228 hp) of power. A more powerful variant adopts a 230 kW electric motor (308 hp). And the top BYD Seal trim offers 4WD with 390 kW (523 hp) power. The sedan has two battery options covering 61.44 kW and 80.64 kW, with ranges ranging from 510-650 km in CLTC counts.
