Ferrari 512 TR Spyder Orders Not Until The Sultan Of Brunei Is Auctioned
JAKARTA The Monterey Car Week 2024 event on August 17 will auction off one of the two rare Ferrari 512 TR Spyder units converted by Pininfarina to the Brunei Royal family.
This car is not just a luxury vehicle, but is also called an important part of Ferrari's history.
Launching information on the auction house, namely RM Sotheby's, August 5, this charming car appeared with a stunning "triple blue" color scheme, making it the only 512 TR Spyder with this color combination. Powered by flat--12 4.9 liter engines and five acceleration transmission.
This Accompanied Ferrari Production Certificate and Data Sheet shows that the 512 TR Spyder was sent new to Hong Seh Motors in June 1993 with a combination of Blu Cobalto's special colors on Blu Scuro Connolly's skin and carpets and soft, electric-operated tops. The uniqueness and historical value of this car is increasing as it is one of two units ever created.
Surprisingly, this car never reached the garage of the Sultan of Brunei for unnamed reasons, and was eventually kept by Alfred Tan in Singapore for his personal collection. In January 1997, Tan exhibited this 512 TR Spyder at the Ferrari 50th Anniversary celebration in Rome, where Scuderia Ferrari racer Gianni Morbidelli joined the parade with Tan's son, Edward.
