Kicking Off Exports Of Coconut Processed Products In Lampung Worth IDR 25.3 Billion

LAMPUNG - Minister of Trade (Mendag) Zulkifli Hasan, released exports of processed coconut products as much as three containers, worth US$ 1.5 million or Rp 25.3 billion from Lampung Province. Exports of these coconut processed products, are the first from Lampung Province with destination countries, namely Australia, the Netherlands, China, and Tanzania.A total of three containers of coconut processed products from Lampung Province, exported to Australian, Dutch, Chinese, and Tanzania countries. Export releases were carried out by Zulkifli Hasan, together with coconut processing companies located in Tarahan Village, Katibung District, South Lampung, Saturday, August 3. The exported head processing products, including dried coconut flour, coconut water, nata de coco, and active carbon charcoal from coconut skin. In addition to the Minister of Trade, the release of the first export of coconut processed products to four countries was also witnessed by Acting Governor Lampung Syamsudin. Zulkifli Hasan appreciated the company and Provincial Government (Pemprov) Lampung in increasing foreign trade in the plantation sector, especially coconut processing. He hopes that as the second largest coconut producing country in the world, in particular Lampung could utilize such potential to increase trade and product quality. Zulhas, his nickname, said that the potential of natural resources of Lampung Province is very large. Several potential commodities are potentially, namely coconut, brown, coffee, pepper, and clongkeh. "The government recently conducted small research, it turns out that Lampung has enormous potential, only not yet taken care of," said Zulhas. Zulhas said, the need for research institutes to develop natural potentials to produce superior seeds for farmers. First, we do research and we will provide superior seeds. Then, second we provide training on how to grow such commodities well. The focus of both, then will produce extraordinary superior products,' said Zulhas. Zulhas guarantees, the central government will help any natural resource processing company to be advanced.

"Our job is to help if companies have problems. If there is less manpower, we will help. Hopefully in the government Pak Prabowo can run well," concluded Zulhas. After the release of exports of processed head products, Zulhas reviewed the company's galleries that produce various kinds of agricultural products, such as rice flour and coconut oil.
