BSI Opens Weekend Service At 568 Branches Of All Indonesia During August 2024

JAKARTA - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) opened services on weekends or weekend banking at 568 branch offices throughout Indonesia during August this year.

BSI Corporate Secretary Wisnu Sunandar said that weekend banking aims to make it easier for customers to make financial transactions that require them to come to the branch office.

"Weekend Banking is routinely carried out to optimize customer services, especially in areas that have high transaction traffic for teller and customer service," said Wisnu in a written statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Saturday, August 3.

Wisnu said that most of the weekend banking branch offices are branches located in strategic places. To find out the details of the branch office that provides weekend banking services, BSI customers can access information through www.bankbsi.co.id.

Overall, the company has prepared comprehensive services from various e-banking channels ranging from branch offices, ATMs, BSI Mobile mobile banking, BSI Agents, BSI Net, and BSI CMS (Cash Management System).

BSI also has sales agent services for BSI Agents as many as 97 thousand people throughout Indonesia. This agent is an extension of BSI to serve customers who are far from urban / ATM BSI / branch offices that can serve deposits and cash withdrawals, electricity, water payments, credit purchases, and so on.

In terms of digital services, customers can make financial and non-financial transactions through BSI Mobile which can be accessed 24 hours. BSI noted, until May 2024, the number of BSI Mobile transactions reached more than 203 million transactions with a value of Rp245 billion. According to BSI, transactions that have the highest traffic are transfers, QRIS, and top ups of digital wallets (e-wallet).

Regarding the rise of cyber fraud crimes on behalf of BSI, Wisnu appealed to the public to be careful and alert to the mode of crime under the guise of information about changes in interbank rates informed through private WhatsApp messages.

As a precautionary measure, customers are asked to check account balances at BSI Mobile or print bank statements regularly. Customers are also asked to change debit card passwords or BSI Hasanah Card and BSI Mobile cards regularly and not provide any personal data to individuals on behalf of BSI.
