North Sumatra Prosecutor's Office Detains 6 Suspects Of Extortion Of The Madina PPPK Selection Of Half A Billion
The North Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati North Sumatra) has arrested six suspects for alleged corruption amounting to Rp580 million in the selection of Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) in Mandailing Natal (Madina) Regency, North Sumatra in 2023.
"The Public Prosecutor's Team (Jaksa Penuntut) of the North Sumatra Prosecutor's Office has detained six suspects for the next 20 days starting from August 1 - 21, 2024," said North Sumatra Attorney's Office Intelligence Coordinator Yos A Tarigan, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, August 2.
The six suspects, namely DHS as Head of the Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud) of Madina Regency, and AHN as Acting Head of the Madina Regency Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency.
Then H as Head of the Education and Education Personnel Section for the Basic Education and Culture of Madina Regency, and DM as Head of the Education and Education Personnel Section for Early Childhood Education and Non-Formal Education Disdikbud in Madina Regency.
Finally, IB as the Head of the General Sub-Division of the Madina Regency Education and Culture, and SD as the Treasurer of Expenditures of the Madina Regency Education and Culture.
"The detention of these six suspects, after we received the delegation of evidence and suspects or stage two from the North Sumatra Police Ditreskrimsus Sub-Directorate investigators on Thursday (1/8)," he said.

Five suspects were detained at the Tanjung Gusta State Detention Center in Medan, while one elementary school suspect was detained at the Medan Class II A Women's Detention Center.
"The amount of money received in the Madina PPPK selection reached Rp580 million, quoted from selection participants varying from Rp5 million to Rp10 million per person," he said.
For the actions of the six suspects, Article 12 Letter E in conjunction with Article 11 of Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.
"Furthermore, the North Sumatra Prosecutor's Office Pidsus team will prepare an indictment to be transferred to the court and will be tried immediately," said Yos Tarigan.
