Toyota GR Corolla 2025: More Powerful, More Advanced
Toyota is again heating up competition in the hot hatch segment by releasing an update for the 2025 model GR Corolla. This justifies the rumors previously circulating and VOI has discussed. In addition to presenting an automatic transmission option, Toyota GAZOO Racing has also increased the performance and control of this car.
In the manufacturer's release, quoted on August 2, one of the most significant changes is the presence of an eight-acceleration automatic transmission option. Although manual transmission remains a standard choice, the presence of this automatic transmission will certainly attract consumers who want more comfort. Toyota claims that this automatic transmission is very smart and can adjust dental turnover to the driver's driving style.
In addition to the new transmission, Toyota also increased the performance of the 1.6 liter turbocharged three cylinder engine. The maximum torque now reaches 400 Nm, up from the previous 370 Nm. The power remains at 300 dk. This change makes GR Corolla have a more responsive performance.
To improve control, Toyota performs several changes to the suspension, including the addition of front and rear shock damping. In addition, the trailing arm installation point behind the arm was also raised to reduce the symptoms of the squat during acceleration.
All variants of the 2025 Corolla GR will be equipped with face and rear finite selip differentials. This feature was previously only available as an option on the Performance package for the basic variant and became standard on the Premium and Circuit Edition variants.
