Attorney David Ozora: Mario Dandy Still Has A Debt Of IDR 24 Billion
JAKARTA - Attorney David Ozora, Mellisa Anggraini, said that Mario Dandy still has debts remaining from Rp24 billion to life related to cases of persecution."When he still has assets, then we can sue him because he still has a debt of Rp. 24 billion," said Mellisa at the South Jakarta District Attorney's Office, Antara, Thursday, August 1.Mellisa said the decision did not have a deadline or in the sense of life, so it needed commitment from the relevant institutions. Meanwhile, his party received information that the Prosecutor's Office had written to Mario Dandy regarding his ability to meet restitution of Rp. 25 billion.Although Mario is said to have no assets and income, Mellisa assesses that the legal process must still run. Moreover, the Supreme Court (MA) has ordered the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to return the assets of Mario Dandy's father, Rafael Alun Trisambodo, who was confiscated as evidence related to the money laundering crime (TPPU) case."Moreover, a lot of his assets have been returned and in the law it is stated that a third party can involve him in fulfilling the responsibility of his son," he said.He hopes that this can be fulfilled by rights and obligations for legal certainty. Therefore, his party encourages the DPR to correct the law and file a lawsuit against law enforcement officials to help fulfill the rights of victims."So don't just make it on paper, only IDR 25 billion in restitution but it can't be applied," he said.Mario Dandy was sentenced to 12 years in prison at the verdict hearing held at the South Jakarta District Court, Thursday (7/9).In addition to a 12-year prison sentence, the Chief Justice asked Mario to pay restitution or compensation of Rp. 25.1 billion.
The South Jakarta District Attorney has provided Rp706 million in restitution results to David Ozora's father, Jonathan Latumahina, from the auction results of the Rubicon car belonging to the suspect Mario Dandy.
