KPK Examined For Almost 3 Hours, Semarang Walkot Mbak Ita: Please Pray
JAKARTA - Semarang Mayor Hevearita Gunaryanti or Mbak Ita has finished being investigated by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) regarding allegations of corruption in the Semarang City Government (Pemkot) today, Thursday, August 1.
From field observations, Ita left the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta at around 11.30 WIB. He said he had been examined according to the procedure.
"So now I have fulfilled the call and thank God it is in accordance with the procedure and please pray for it," said Ita to reporters at the location.
Ita did not explain much about the examination. He said, let the anti-corruption commission explain.
However, he had explained the reason why he did not fulfill the investigator's summons on Tuesday, July 30. "Because there is a plenary activity that must be attended by the regional head," he said while trying to hurry.
Meanwhile, Ita was present at the anti-corruption commission office at around 08.03 WIB. Apart from her, her husband, who is also the Chairman of Commission D of the Central Java DPRD, Alwin Basri, was also summoned by the KPK.
Alwin arrived at around 09.12 WIB or after Mbak Ita went up to the investigation room. KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika has not yet detailed the investigation, including the possibility of investigators confrontation.
Previously reported, the KPK began investigating three alleged corruption crimes within the Semarang City Government (Pemkot). The details are the procurement of goods and services within the Semarang City Government in 2023-2024, the alleged extortion of civil servants related to incentives for collecting taxes and levies in the Semarang City area, as well as the alleged receipt of gratuities in 2023-2024.

Searches have been carried out in various locations such as in the cities of Semarang, Kudus, Salatiga, and others. From there, documents up to Rp1 billion and 9,650 euros were found as well as dozens of watches allegedly related to the case.
In this case, Ita and three other people have been prevented from leaving the country for six months. They are her husband who is also the Chairman of Commission D of the Central Java DPRD, Alwin Basri; Chairman of the Association of Indonesian National Construction Implementers (Gapensi) Semarang City, Martono; and Rahmat Djangkar who are private parties.
