Mazda's First Half 2024 Global Sales Touch 620,000 Units, This Model Is The Best Selling

JAKARTA - Japan's auto brand, Mazda announced the proceeds from global sales of vehicles in the period June and the first six months of 2024.

According to manufacturer's official data, Thursday, August 1, the total global sales were 620,541 units (down 0.5 percent) in the January-June period this year with sales of 109,297 units (an increase of 0.4 percent) of which was generated during June.

The United States market contributed the market to the most Mazda vehicles by producing a total of 202,487 units (up 10.2 percent) in the January to June period and 35,696 units (19.8 percent) last month.

Then, these results were followed by the European market by contributing 95,083 units (down 1 percent) in the first half of this year and June resulting in 19,306 units (up 8.9 percent).

For domestic sales in Japan, Mazda collected a total of 68,652 units (down 31.2 percent) during the first six months and 9,558 units (down 40.6 percent) in June.

China also contributed the most with a sales book of 41,688 units (up 31.3 percent) in the first six months and 6,204 units (down 15.1 percent) in June.

Mazda's best-selling product in the January to June period this year fell to CX-5 with 171,707 units (down 3.3 percent), followed by CX-30 amounting to 117,912 units (up 19.9 percent), and Mazda3 with 89,980 units (up 15.4 percent).

Of this number, CX-5 obtained 31,769 units (up 3 percent) in June, followed by CX-30 with 18,615 units (up 10.9 percent), and Mazda3 with 14,549 units (up 5.3 percent).

For the local market, Mazda2 became the best-selling model in the six-month period with 10,424 units (down 7.5 percent), CX-5 with 8,751 units (down 35.2 percent), and CX-30 to 6,503 units (down 36.4 percent).

Of these, Mazda2 in June generated 1,627 units (down 9.4 percent), followed by CX-5 with 1,586 units (down 12.1 percent), and Mazda3 with 898 units (down 52.3 percent).
