Next Week, Jokowi's Ministers Will Fly To IKN To Hold A Initial Cabinet Session
JAKARTA - A number of government working cabinet ministers of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) are rumored to be flying to the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan, next week.
The arrival was due to the holding of the inaugural cabinet meeting in the new capital city.
Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi admitted that he would return to visit IKN on August 11. Budi himself recently just from IKN.
However, Budi said that the arrival of the August 11 PAde to IKN was not without reason. He said there would be an inaugural cabinet meeting at IKN.
"Date 11 (August 2024 to IKN). Yes, the cabinet session is on 12 right," he told reporters written Thursday, August 1.
Apart from Budi, it is reported that the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, will also go to IKN. The plan is that next week he will go there.
"I'll go later, next week to IKN," said Luhut when met separately.

For your information, President Jokowi had his first office at IKN on June 28. This was done after Jokowi visited a number of infrastructure projects and spent the night at IKN.
Previously, President Jokowi said that holding the inaugural cabinet meeting at the IKN Presidential Palace would wait for the return of ministers on duty abroad.
Jokowi said many of his ministers were in Paris, France. Therefore, Jokowi chose to wait for all ministers to be in the country first.
