This Member Of The DKI DPRD Denies Allegations Of His Microtrans Operators Being Transjakarta Gold Children

JAKARTA - Member of Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Taufik Azhar, denied allegations that the transportation operator who was part of his JakLingko system, namely the Kalpika Wahana Cooperative (KWK) became Transjakarta's golden child.

Taufik emphasized that there was no collusion between KWK and Transjakarta. He admitted that his transportation operator received a quota for the procurement of microtrans according to the criteria and rules.

"We go through a process where the flow is the same. So that's feeling jealousy, but we don't see the results professionally, in percentage," Taufik told reporters, Wednesday, July 31.

Taufik claims that currently KWK has the largest city transportation (angkot) fleet in Jakarta, namely 6,238 units. However, only 2,810 units of fleet have joined JakLingko and only 51 percent have received the Microtrans procurement quota.

Meanwhile, Taufik said other transportation operators only have a fleet of about 1,800 units at most. In fact, there are also operators that only have under 500 units of transportation.

So, according to Taufik, when viewed in numbers, the quota for the procurement of the Microtrans provided by Transjakarta for his operator is still reasonable.

"We are following the process, especially since we are here (Members of the DKI DPRD). In fact, we are fighting for them (Microtrans operators). If there is anything, we will definitely help here. Not a monopoly, nothing," he insisted.

On Tuesday, July 30, hundreds of Microtrans drivers who are members of the Blue Laskar Communication Forum (FKLB) held a demonstration at the DKI Jakarta City Hall. They also brought a fleet parked along Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan. Congestion was inevitable.

Microtrans drivers demonstrated with a number of demands. One of them complained about the distribution of the Microtrans procurement quota as a substitute for regular fleets such as Metromini and angkot for partnering operators.

They considered that there was discrimination from Transjakarta in JakLingko's policy. Of the 11 partner operators, there is 1 operator that Transjakarta seems to have neglected because it gets the quota for absorption of the fleet at most to be operated compared to others.

Then, the Microtrans driver also felt that the payment of rupiah per kilometer of the fleet determined by Transjakarta was not commensurate. Therefore, they do not get a salary equivalent to the UMP.

One of the representatives of the FKLB, Rahmadoni revealed that one operator that is considered to have received more quotas for the procurement of Microtrans is the Kalpika Wahana Cooperative (KWK). The owner is Deputy Chairman of Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Taufik Azhar.

"Incidentally, the deputy chairman of Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD as well as the Chair of the KWK. So, it is very clear about the conflict of interest," said Rahmadoni in a short message.
