ITDC Records Hotel Residential In Nusa Dua Exceeds 2019 Period

JAKARTA - BUMN PT Pembangunan Pariwisata Indonesia (ITDC) noted that hotel occupancy rates in the Nusa Dua management area in Badung Regency, Bali, in the first semester of 2024 reached 71.74 percent or exceeded the same period before the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019 reached 69.57 percent.

"Compared to the same period in 2023, it also increased by 14.5 percent, which at that time reached 62 percent," said General Manager of ITDC the Nusa Dua I Made Agus Dwiatmika as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 31.

According to him, the growth of occupancy was driven by regional promotional activities, holiday holidays and school holidays, as well as various convention agendas (MICE) and state agendas that took place in the elite region.

In addition, he continued, complete facilities and regional management, as well as hotels with international standards also play a role in increasing the confidence of tourists to stay overnight, vacation in the tourist area.

During the first six months of 2024, the average occupancy rate was the highest in June, reaching 80 percent and the lowest in March reaching 64 percent.

There are also the number of stay tourists who are dominated by domestic tourists, reaching 673,000 people or growing 47 percent compared to the same period in 2023 which reached 456,000 people.

Meanwhile, the total number of visitors to the area's tourist facilities in January-June 2024 reached 703,000 people, including visits to Water Blow, Peninsula, visits to museums, watching cultural performances, golf to spas.

During the first six months of 2024, a number of international convention agendas were held in the 32 hectare area, including the Asia Pacific tourism industry meeting, music, health agendas, running events to the 10th World Water Forum.

He is optimistic that the occupancy from July to December 2024 will grow positively due to holidays and a number of international agendas that are ready to be implemented in the Nusa Dua area.

These agendas include the Summit of Indonesia and Africa in September 2024 and other international-scale agendas.

The BUMN management area is equipped with a convention facility (MICE) that can accommodate more than 21,000 delegates for a large-scale agenda, as well as providing accommodation for more than 5,000 hotel rooms.
