Case Of Bobol ATM In Bogor, 2 Perpetrators Arrested And Losses Rp300 Million

BOGOR - Bogor City Police, West Java Police, arrested two men who stole ATM marijuana mode, causing the victim to suffer a loss of nearly Rp. 300 million.

Bogor City Deputy Chief of Police AKBP Guntur Muhammad Toriq, revealed that two suspects with the initials HS and AP acted at an ATM on Jalan Lodaya, Babakan Village.

Guntur said, there were two people who were victims of the theft with the ATM mode. The first victim suffered a loss of Rp. 277 million, and the second victim was Rp. 3 million.

Two incidents occurred on June 5 and June 28, 2024. The two perpetrators were arrested on July 28, 2024," he said.

Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bogor City Police, Kompol Lutfi Olot Gigantara, said that the two perpetrators had been targeted by the police. His party has also traced the traces of the perpetrators to the Cibinong area, Bogor Regency and detected the faces of the perpetrators.

When they wanted to act on the IPB Campus, they (the perpetrators) were arrested by the victim. Then assisted by the Traffic Unit Patrol who passed by, they were then taken to the Satreskrim," said Lutfi.

He explained that these perpetrators were a group from Palembang, South Sumatra, totaling five people. Currently, three of them are still on the wanted list (DPO).

"From the proceeds taken, they had bought gold. The CCTV was obtained to apply as a suspect," he said.

As a result of their actions, the two suspects were charged with Article 362 concerning theft with the threat of five years in prison.
