Banten Ministry Of Law And Human Rights Holds Operations To Check Foreign Ships In The Sunda Strait

JAKARTA - The Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) Banten held a joint operation to conduct inspections of foreign ships circulating along the waters of the Sunda Strait.

"This operation is a series of activities to commemorate the 79th Guardian Day which carries the theme Kemenkumham Mengabdi for the Country, Towards Indonesia Gold 2045," said Head of the Banten Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regional Office, Dodot Adikoeswanto in Cilegon, Tuesday, July 30, confiscated by Antara.

The joint operation used a patrol boat belonging to the Ministry of Transportation and Customs and Excise in Cilegon City.

There are two ships targeted for operation. First, the Belgian-flagged MV LA Stella ship, where on the ship there are 20 crew members of the means of transportation with Ukrainian citizenship and the Philippines.

The second ship is the LPG/C Hong ship, a Chinese state-flagged ship containing as many as 18 Chinese crew members.

"The goal is to check the completeness of the immigration documents of the crew and ensure that foreign ships docked at the dock along the waters of Banten do not carry out prohibited activities that are against the law," said Dodot.

The results of the examination of all immigration documents of transportation crews on the two ships were declared that no immigration violations were found, all immigration documents were declared complete and appropriate.

In the Joint Operation of the 2024 Foreigner Control Team (Timpora), the ranks of the Class I Immigration Office of Non TPI Serang were also involved, the Class I Immigration Office of Non TPI Tangerang and the Class II Immigration Office of TPI Cilegon, Banten.
