Take A Peek At The Hybrid Kia Carnival Specification Launched At GIIAS 2024, Toyota Alphard HEV's Strong Rival?
JAKARTA - The 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) became a means of self-provation for the Kia brand to show off its newest vehicle. Through the ATPM PT Kreyat Indo Artha (KIA), they brought their newest model line including the Hybrid Carnival.
This car is based on Carnival facelift which was launched in Indonesia at the end of last May. What distinguishes it is, of course, this model is a hybrid drive that is known to have the ability to reduce the amount of carbon emissions.

Design
Just like other Kia products, Carnival Hybrid carries the design philosophy Opposites United, which is known to be bolder and more modern so that this MPV has an SUV-like appearance. The front features a front facility firmly decorated with a cube-shaped headlights displayed with a brand-type yellow DRL Star Map light.
While the back looks smoother and premium with the number plate position changed to the bottom of the back door. Then, the Star Map light contour adds depth to the back. Also presented are wide kellip plates and contours in contrast to the black coating on the back facility.
Interior
The cabin has a sophisticated and luxurious impression with a dual curved screen with an instrument cluster and an infotainment display of 12.3 inches each. Inside, there are seven standard USB-C ports located across the cabin that can help mobile devices stay charged for passengers on all three lines, while two stop contacts, and two 115V inverters serve as additional resources.
Hybrid Carnival is only offered with a configuration of seven passengers so that it can accommodate many people in it. The center part has a captain seat with a premium element in it.

Other features such as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are also presented as standards, including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Junction Crossing, Lange-change Oncoming, Lange-change Side, and Evasive Steering Assist.
Then, this large-dimensional MPV car has several other contemporary features such as 8-airbags, ABS braking, Electronic Stability Control, Surround View Monitor, and Hill Start Assist. In addition, this manufacturer from South Korea also has an audio system with 12-speaker Bose Premium which provides a different experience.
Hybrid Performance
For the bottom of the front hood, Carnival Hybrid has a 1.6 liter TGDI Smartstream Gamma II engine combined with electric motors and six automatic acceleration transmissions, offering 241 dk of power and 367 Nm of torque.
Prices and Competitors
This car will enter the MPV Hybrid Premium market in Indonesia with a price tag of IDR 1.388 billion On The Road DKI Jakarta, which models like Toyota Alphard HEV have been waiting for, which are marketed more expensive starting at IDR 1.7 billion.
