BYD Presents Sealion 6 DM-i In The Philippines, PHEV Moved Seal Brother

JAKARTA - Build Your Dreams or BYD, has officially expanded its model to the Philippine market by presenting the 6 DM-i Sealion. Different from what was previously presented, the model is a Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) mover.

This car has the design language 'Ocean Aesthetics', the same as the Seal model. However, what distinguishes it is the fatter Sealion 6 and typical SUV crossover style.

Launching from Top Gear Philippines, Tuesday, July 30, the car has advanced features inside such as a 12.3-inch instrument digital screen and a 15.6-inch touch-screen that can rotate.

To increase the comfort of its users, this manufacturer from China coats the cabin with skin and soft material and there is a panoramic sunset to see the vast sky inside the vehicle.

Not only that, BYD also provides this car with advanced features such as Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, dual wireless chargers, voice assistant, BYD Cloud Service, 4G connectivity, over-the-air upgrade, and 10-speaker Infinity audio system.

For safety, the manufacturer gave him DiPilot which is the ADAS system on this vehicle. This includes 360-degree cameras, radar systems with six sensors, and adaptive cruise control full-speed with stop and go capabilities.

Not only that, DiPilot also has a number of features such as lane keeping assist, land departure assistance, automatic emergency braking, front collision warning, traffic contraction assistance, traffic sign recognition, intelligence speed limit information, and intelligence speed limit control.

Talking about the runway, Sealion 6 DM-i has a 1.5 liter engine with 105 dk of power and a 135 Nm torque. Combined with the electric motor drive placed in front, the resulting combined power reaches 194 dk and 325 Nm of torque.

According to BYD, the engine can recharge the battery. In addition, the car can also be filled in the house or at the charging station.

This system has the ability to charge with a charging measuring 7 kW with a type 2 connector. According to the manufacturer, Sealion 6 DM-i has the ability to run with pure electricity up to 100 km and has a combined range with gasoline up to 1,000 km.

BYD only provides one variant of this model in the Philippines at a price of 1.548 million pesos (equivalent to Rp430.9 million).
