140 People Injured In Russian Train Accident Collis Truck
JAKARTA - It was reported that 140 people were injured in southern Russia when a train carrying 800 passengers hit a truck at a level crossing. The accident resulted in nine carriages slipping.
The train driver who traveled from Kazan in Tatarstan to Adler in the Black Sea, stepped on the brakes when he saw the Kamaz truck, whose drivers violated traffic regulations and entered the intersection despite alarms.
The train crashed into a truck at a speed of about 65 kilometers per hour (40 mph) near the Kotelnikovo station, which is located in the southern region of Volgograd about 1,200 km (750 miles) south of Moscow.
About 140 people were injured and bruised, the Russian Railway said.
A total of 15 people, including three children, were taken to hospital for treatment.

The truck driver, who was thrown about 15 meters (50 feet) due to the collision, is in serious condition, said Telegram Mash channel.
Mash uploaded a video showing the remnants of the damaged truck cabin and a man who was the victim.
Mash said previously two people were killed in the collision, but this was not confirmed by Russian officials.
Video published by state news agency TASS shows the carriage slipping.
Russia's Emergencies Ministry said firefighters and rescuers were trying to save passengers, and said a total of nine carriages had slipped.
