Merseyside Police Arrest Man Who Stabbed 8 People In Southport England

JAKARTA - British emergency services said a man was arrested in a stabbing case of eight people in Southport, northwest of England.

The North West Ambulance Service said it was treating eight stab wounds patients who had been taken to three different hospitals, including Alder Hey Children's Hospital.

Reported by Reuters, Merseyside police said armed police had arrested a man and confiscated a knife after receiving a report of a stabbing at around 11.50, Monday, July 29.

"There is no wider threat to the community," the police added.
