Jokowi Invites 4 Regional Heads In East Kalimantan To The Garuda Palace, Nusantara City
BALIKPAPAN - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) invited four regional heads in East Kalimantan Province to the State Palace named Garuda in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN).
On the first day President Jokowi was based in the central government (KIPP) area of the new state capital, Indonesia, located in Sepaku District, North Penajam Paser Regency, Monday, inviting the Acting Governor of East Kalimantan, Akmal Malik.
Then the Mayor of Samarinda Andi Harun, the Mayor of Balikpapan Rahmad Mas'ud and the Acting Regent of North Penajam Paser Regency Makmur Marbun went to the Garuda Palace in the City of Nusantara.
"The president invited us to ask all parties to support the implementation of the inaugural state event in August 2024 in the city of Nusantara," explained East Kalimantan Governor Akmal Malik as reported by ANTARA, Monday, July 29.
Although the state event committee in the new nation's capital is the Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg), he continued, the local government was asked to present a number of community leaders in East Kalimantan.
The four regional heads in East Kalimantan Province are the second guests on the first day of President Jokowi's office at IKN, after the ranks of the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN)
Akmal Malik expressed his appreciation for President Jokowi's commitment to the development of the Nusantara City in Sepaku District, North Penajam Paser Regency.

"The palace room is very good, electricity and water are already available for the main construction of the initial stage," said Akmal Malik.
"We were invited by the President to the State Palace to discuss the readiness of the independence ceremony in the city of Nusantara on August 17, 2024," added Balikpapan Mayor Rahmad Mas'ud.
President Jokowi asked for the support of all people because the inaugural independence ceremony in the capital city of Indonesia is a historical momentum in East Kalimantan Province, he said, and it is hoped that development will run smoothly and successfully to realize Indonesia's 2045 gold.
