Bahlil Promises Muhammadiyah To Get The Best Mining Location

JAKARTA - Investment Minister/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia promised the government would provide the best mining locations for Muhammadiyah to manage.

Furthermore, Bahlil revealed that his party prepared six tambanh lands from the former Coal Mining Concession Work Agreement (PKP2B) for religious community organizations (ormas) in Indonesia.

Especially for Muhammadiyah, Bahlil said the land prepared by the government outside of East Kalimantan Prima Coal (KPC).

"God willing, for Muhammadiyah we will give from the 2nd best prospect outside of the KPC," he said when met at the Ministry of Investment office, Jakarta, Monday, July 29.

However, Bahlil admitted that the details of the mine location that would be given to Muhammadiyah could not be disclosed. He said he would report first to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

"I'll report it to the president first," he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Investment Yuliot Tanjung revealed that his party still has not determined which former mine location will be given to Muhammadiyah. However, it is certain that the location is the best.

"So for Muhamadiyah, we are looking for the best location. The existing mineral content can also economically support what is meant by the government," said Yuliot.

Yuliot explained that his party will consolidate first with the geological agency to find out which ingredients are the best.

"Our plan is also to try consolidation with the geological agency first. So from the location proposal, maybe we also have prospects, but the existing content is not certain. So we still have to consolidate the data first," he said.

"And also from Muhammadiyah we will tell you later. So there are several alternative locations. Which alternative locations do they propose to choose from," he continued.
