Anggun Reveals His Father's Advice That Is Always Applied When Playing Music

JAKARTA - Anggun held a single concert titled "Angle and Friends Ears" which was held at the Plenary Hall, the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Sunday, July 28 evening.

On the sidelines of his appearance, Anggun revealed the advice of his late father who was a writer.

"You always used to say, to write one song, you need to read a lot of books. And what we wrote reflects ourselves," said Anggun.

In front of thousands of spectators who attended, Anggun admitted that he always tried to be selective when writing songs or singing songs created by other musicians.

"There are several words that I don't want to use, for example, baby, I don't use that except to mention a baby," said Anggun.

"If I sing a song, I want to be able to inspire many people," he added.

Then, the 50-year-old singer tried to remind other musicians not to write songs carelessly, especially with harsh choice of words and not reflecting good etiquette

"For artists, the homework, if you write the song, don't use harsh words. It's a shame, right, there should be a lot of people who hear it, use harsh words," said Anggun.

Then, Anggun continued his appearance by performing a song called 'Bayang-Bayang Ilusi', one of the songs he said had a good message for listeners.

For information, the Enchenging Anggun and Friends concert was accompanied by Magentha Orchestra led by Andi Rianto.

Several guest musicians were also presented, namely Achmad Albar, Ian Antono, Isyana Sarasvati and Fabio Aser.
