Because Of The Trial Against Arsenal, MU Was Threatened With Losing Rasmus Hojlund And Leny Yoro
JAKARTA - Manchester United lost 2-1 in the trial against Arsenal. The expensive trial match was expensive because two MU players, Rasmus Hojlund and Leny Yoro, were injured.
Manager Erik ten Hag hopes that both of them will only suffer minor injuries in a duel at the SoFi Stadium, aturah, Minggu, 28 Juli 2024 pagi WIB. In that match, Hojlund put MU ahead when the game had only been running for 10 minutes.
But Arsena responded quickly when Brazilian national team striker Gabriel Jesus scored in the 26th minute. Furthermore, Jesus compatriot Gabriel Martinelli became the determinant of the Gunners' victory.
In that match, Hojlund threatened Arsenal's goal before being pulled out due to a hamstring injury in the 16th minute. He was later replaced byter Mejbri, a 21st midfielder who was loaned out to Sevilla last season.
Furthermore, Yoro, who was injured, had to receive treatment for a long time. However, the new player who was bought from Lille finally had to be withdrawn.
For 25 minutes, Yoro showed good character while fortifying goalkeeper Andre Onana. He managed to keep Jesus from moving. Shortly after Yoro left, Jesus was only able to break into Onana's goal.
Ten Hag hopes that Hojlund and Yoro's injuries will not be severe even though his party is still waiting for the results of their examination.
The reason is, the English Premier League competition is only a matter of weeks. MU played the first match against Fulham at Old Trafford, August 16, 2024.
Last season, MU was overshadowed by injured players. They alternately had to pull over which made the performance of the Red Devils never maximized. Especially with a long injury at centre-back Leandro Martinez.
"It's too early [to confirm their injuries]. We have to wait at least 24 hours to find out for sure," Ten Hag was quoted as saying by Metro.
"We really have to be careful with Leny. Because he only has 50 percent of the training session. We just think positively, hopefully, it's not serious," he said.
Responding to the trial, Ten Hag said the team played well. Even in the first half MU looked superior even though the score was 1-1.

"This match was very good. In the first half, in my opinion, we played better. We scored a good go. It started with [Marcus] Rashford and then finished with a good move from Hojlund. I was comfortable with that goal," said Ten Hag.
"We created more chances. Unfortunately we conceded a clear offside goal. Now, we have to immediately recover and prepare for the next game," he said.
