Two Days Of Operation, Train Blambangan Transport 474 Customers From Pasar Senen Station
JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted that 474 seats of Blambangan Train tickets have been sold or 237 customer seats per day since officially operating two days ago.
For your information, the first Blambangan Train will be run departing from Pasar Senen Station starting Saturday, July 27. The train stopped at Bekasi and Karawang Stations.
KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager Ixfan Hendriwintoko said the 474 tickets sold were for two days of operation. In detail, for Saturday, July 27 departures as many as 251 customers, and Sunday, July 28 as many as 223 customers.
"The data we received, on Sunday, July 28 morning at 08.00 WIB, accumulated from 27 to 28 July 2024 the Blambangan train ticket had been sold as much as 474 seats, or on average 237 seats per day were sold. The Blambangan train departed at 12.15 WIB from Pasar Senen Station and arrived at Ketapang Station at 04.55 WIB," he said in an official statement, Sunday, July 28.
Ixfan said the Blambangan Train previously ran on a route from Semarang Tawang Station, Bank Jateng to Ketapang PP, but on July 27, 2024, the route was extended from Pasar Senen Station to Ketapang PP.
Specifications for the Blambangan train series use a modified version of Balai Yasa Manggarai, with a formation of 4 executive classes, 3 economic classes, 1 train, and 1 generator train.

In addition, the seating capacity for the executive class is 192 seats or 48 seats per train, and the economic class is 216 seats or 72 seats per train, so the total seating capacity provided is 408 seats.
Furthermore, Ixfan said that his party hopes that the extension of the Blambangan train trip from Pasar Senen Station to Ketapang Banyuwangi can make it easier for customers who have had to transit at Surabaya Pasarturi Station and then switch departures at Surabaya Gubeng Station to continue their journey both to Ketapang and to Jakarta.
"With the Blambangan train, the journey becomes easier with just one customer train to enjoy the trip without having to transit and move other trains," he explained.
