200 Ships Up To 15 Thousand Soldiers Show Off In The Celebration Of Russian Naval Day
JAKARTA - A total of 200 ships and boats were deployed in the celebration of the Russian Navy Day which was held today, Sunday, July 28.
Russia's Ministry of Defense (Kemenhan) said the defense equipment would show off at Fleet bases, including in Kaspia, as well as the base of the Russian Navy's task force in the Mediterranean Sea.
"On July 28, 2024, a naval parade and military sporting festival marking Russian Navy Day will take place in St. Petersburg, in the waters of the main northern, Baltic and Pacific Fleet bases, the Kaspia Fleet <...>, and the permanent task force base of the Russian Navy in the Mediterranean Sea," read a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry, Sunday, July 28, quoted from Tass.
At the end of the celebration of Russian Navy Day in St. Petersburg and the main base of the Russian Navy, there will be music concerts, military bands, and fireworks attractions.
"Until 200 ships and boats from various classes were involved in the Main Navy Parade, naval parade, and military sporting events as part of the naval component by 2024.
In this event, the Russian Navy also deployed other defense equipment. Meanwhile, thousands of Navy soldiers were also involved in a number of military performances.
"More than 100 military equipment and up to 15,000 soldiers were also involved in the event," the statement said.
