Dolphin Quality Delivery And Complaints Delay, BYD: This Becomes Evaluation Material
Starting his debut in Indonesia earlier this year, BYD's work in Indonesia experienced several obstacles, including delays in sending units to consumers which were delayed until the end of the first half of this year.
Even so, this Chinese manufacturer handed over 1,000 units some time ago, which was dominated by the Atto 3 Seal and Dolphin models. However, BYD received a number of complaints from these hatchback users.
Some consumers complain about the quality of the Dolphin they receive, which is sometimes dirty or abrasions, thus affecting the quality of the product. How do manufacturers respond to this?
Head of Marketing BYD Indonesia, Luther T. Panjaitan, said that this incident was an evaluation material for them in presenting products that were immediately sent to customers without reducing the quality.
"The most important thing for us is the corrective action. When there is a tug-of-war about consumers' desire to be fast, we must not rule out quality," Luther told reporters at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Friday, July 26.

He also added that his party will try to communicate this to customers in order to meet their expectations, although it is very difficult to exchange units.
"Union expansion is a very fatal thing. If it happens, it can be very detrimental, especially if the problem is only incomplete procedures," added Luther.
In the 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), BYD also launched the latest version of Dolphin, namely Advanced, to meet the needs of the Indonesian people for compact electric vehicles (EVs).
Speaking of prices, BYD Dolphin Advanced is priced starting at IDR 365 million, and Premium Extended types are pegged at IDR 425 million. All prices include recommendations from On The Road DKI Jakarta.
