Inaugurating Jongke Solo Market, President Jokowi Orders To Maintain Cleanliness

SOLO - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) this Saturday morning inaugurated Jongke Market in Solo, Central Java, following the completion of the rehabilitation process for the infrastructure project.

At the inauguration, in Solo, President Jokowi arrived at Jongke Market at around 07.45 WIB. The President arrived accompanied by First Lady Iriana Jokowi.

Arriving at the location, the two immediately headed to the inside of the market to inspect and interact with the traders. The President also gave t-shirts to traders and buyers. He was also seen interacting with the residents.

In his remarks, President Jokowi said the market is the center of the people's economy where all goods are collected in the market.

"All the commodities produced by farmers, fishermen, craftsmen, all gathered in the people's market," he said, quoted from Antara, Saturday, July 27.

He also invited residents to compare the current condition of Jongke Market with that of before. According to Jokowi, the current market conditions are much better than before.

"I myself was also surprised to see the market like this. In my opinion, even the mall lost," he said again.

However, according to him again, the market must also have adequate facilities, such as parking lots.

"The important thing is that this market must have a good parking space, so that buyers are comfortable, both parking for motorbikes and cars. Then traders can also serve their consumers well, in a friendly manner," he also said.

He also asked all parties to maintain market cleanliness and conduciveness.

"The most important thing is that I ask that this market be properly maintained, with hygiene, hygiene. Don't get dirty and smelled because I entered the management in it really is very good," concluded Jokowi.
