AGO Arrests Member Of DPR NasDem Faction Ujang Iskandar

The Attorney General's Office (AGO) arrested a member of the DPR from the NasDem Faction, Ujang Iskandar. The arrest was related to the alleged corruption case of misappropriation of West Kotawaringin Government funds for the 2009 period.

"Yes, that's right (the arrest of Ujang Iskandar). According to a letter from the high-ranking attorney's office, it is suspected of being a criminal act of corruption," said Head of the AGO, Harli Siregar to VOI, Friday, July 26.

Ujang Iskandar was arrested upon arrival at Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta) after returning from Vietnam, today.

Harli has not detailed the alleged corruption. It is only conveyed if the NasDem politician is suspected of misappropriating West Kotawaringin funds to Perusda Perkebunan Agrotama Mandiri.

"Forms of alleged corruption in the irregularities of capital investment funds from the West Waringin City Order to Perusda Perkebunan Agrotama Mandiri in 2009," said Harli.

Currently, Ujang Iskandar is still under intensive examination. Later it will be submitted to the Central Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Office.

"The time will depend on the investigators. We will only secure it at the request of the Central Kalimantan Prosecutor's Office," said Harli
