Need Safety Guarantee, DKI DPRD Asks Ad Hoc Officers For The 2024 Jakarta Pilkada To Be Registered By BPJS
JAKARTA - The chairman of Commission A of the DKI Jakarta DPRD asked the DKI Provincial Government to cooperate with the Social Security Administering Agency (BPJS) to register the 2024 Pilkada ad hoc officers in Jakarta in the BPJS program.
Mujiyono assessed that the work of ad hoc bodies such as the voting committee (PPS), the sub-district election committee (PPK), to voter data updating officers (pantralih) in the field in organizing the 2024 Pilkada requires safety guarantees.
Thus, it is necessary to provide death compensation to scholarships for the children of ad hoc officers who died to be given to officers who are considered the front line of the 2024 Pilkada.
"BPJS sees this of course as an opportunity to help. They are not profitable. They see that it is indeed in the implementation of the Pilkada in Jakarta or other areas that are the responsibility provided by involving BPJS," said Mujiyono at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Friday, July 26.
In this case, the General Elections Commission (KPU) has prepared funds in the form of compensation for death of only Rp. 36 million, funeral expenses of Rp. 10 million, permanent disabled work accidents of Rp. 30 million, serious injuries of Rp. 16.5 million, and moderate injuries of Rp. 8.2 million.
However, Mujiyono considered this not enough. He recommended that ad hoc officers also be covered by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan so that they could receive compensation.
Among them died amounting to Rp. 171 million, permanent compensation of Rp. 174 million, scholarships for two children to universities amounting to Rp. 174 million, homecare of Rp. 20 million, and compensation for death due to illness of Rp. 42 million.
Moreover, Law Number 40 of 2024 concerning the Social Security System and Law Number 24 of 2011 concerning the Social Security Administering Body mandates that everyone at least six months of work in Indonesia must be a participant in Social Security.
"It turns out that the comparison compared to the coverage carried out by BPJS is much better than what the KPU did, why not. That's why BPJS offered it," he said.
