Acting Regent Of Bogor Attitudes ASN Extorted By Fake KPK Members: Don't Be Afraid To Report

Acting (Pj) Bogor Regent Asmawa Tosepu appealed to the ranks of state civil servants (ASN) within the Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab), not to be afraid to report to law enforcers if blackmailed.

This was said by Asmawa in response to the case of extorting a fake Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) member from the Bogor Regency Government ASN.

"People, including the Bogor Regency Government, if there are others who do things like that (tortling) immediately report it to the nearest police station," he said in Cibinong, Friday, July 26, which was confiscated by Antara.

The extortion incident happened to several ASN from the Bogor Regency Education Office. Currently, the suspect with the initials YS and the victims are undergoing examination at the Bogor Resort Police Headquarters, after being handed over by the KPK on Friday morning.

"Now it's still at the police station. Because the KPK has been transferred to the Resort Police, I am also still waiting for the results of the investigation at the Resort Police," said Asmawa.

The KPK on Thursday afternoon said it had arrested a man with the initials YS on suspicion of extortion of officials within the Bogor Regency Government.

"The team secured the person in question at a restaurant in Bogor Regency at around 13.30 WIB," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika at the KPK's Red and White Building, South Jakarta, Thursday.

On Thursday morning, his party received a report regarding a person with the initials YS who claimed to be a KPK employee and blackmailed an official within the Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab).

The official admitted that he was asked for a sum of money by YS and based on the report, the KPK sent a team consisting of investigators, investigators and inspectorates to determine whether the person was actually a KPK employee or not.

The KPK team then confirmed that the person had received money from the reporting party and immediately arrested YS at around 13.30 WIB.

The KPK team then took YS to his residence in one of the housing estates in Bogor City in order to collect evidence.

In this activity, KPK investigators confiscated Rp300 million in cash, a cell phone (cellphone) and a white vehicle.

The next team took YS to the KPK's Red and White Building for further clarification.

"From the results of the clarification, it was concluded that the person was not a KPK employee and only operated alone," said Tessa.
