Furnitures To Water Are Available, The Presidential Office At IKN Is Ready To Be Occupied

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Task Force (Satgas) for the Implementation of Infrastructure Development of the State Capital Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Danis Sumadilaga said the Presidential Office and Presidential Palace in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) were ready to be occupied.

Danis said water and electricity were available. Likewise, furniture for the Presidential Office has also arrived and is ready for use.

"The function has arrived. The presidential office has entered the water before August 17. There is no problem with the electricity. Everything is ready." he said when met at the PUPR Ministry office, Friday, July 26.

Danis said that his party was only tasked with preparing infrastructure and basic facilities at IKN.

Regarding Jokowi's plan to have an office in IKN, he said, this is the authority of the Ministry of State Secretariat.

However, Danis continued, Jokowi will visit IKN on Sunday, July 28.

Not only offices, he said, road infrastructure to the Presidential Palace area will soon be completed.

"In front of the palace, the asphalting is almost complete. All of these are targeted to complete the entrance around Sunday," he said.

Previously, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) admitted that he would start based in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) if the basic infrastructure was ready.

This was conveyed by Jokowi at a press conference for the launch of Golden Visa at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Jakarta, Thursday, July 25.

"I will still see if the facilities are completed or not, ready or not," said Jokowi.

Jokowi said that the report he had just received until now was that clean water had entered IKN.

"What was conveyed to me was that the water had entered," he said.

According to him, basic facilities at IKN are not only about water, but other infrastructure. He is worried that if the IKN development is carried out in a hurry, it will reduce the quality of the building.

"Everything is ready again, readyness at IKN. And we don't want to force it which will reduce the quality of the interior, quality of the building," said the Head of State.
