Interesting Electric SUV At GIIAS 2024 Exhibition: Practically And Environmentally Friendly
TANGERANG The Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2024 is increasingly lively with the presence of a row of stunning electric Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs). The dominance of electric vehicles in this exhibition is clear evidence of the shift in the automotive trend towards a more environmentally friendly era of electrification.
Not only environmentally friendly, the electric SUV on display also offers a variety of advanced features and futuristic designs that are able to meet the needs of modern mobility. For those looking for multipurpose vehicles with reliable performance and zero emissions, here are five electric SUV models that must be considered.

Chery iCar 03
Successfully launching the Omoda E5 some time ago, Chery is now back with a new electric SUV offer by launching iCar 03 at GIIAS 2024. In China, this car has the name Jaecool J6.
The manufacturer from China claims that this car is designed to pass through various obstacles, including in the off-road arena. The car is designed with a height of 1,855 mm long 4,338 mm with a wheelbase and a shorter front and rear bumper, able to create a wider angle for maneuvers on damaged roads.
Talking about its performance, iCar 03 has two drive options in the outside market, starting from rear wheels (RWD) with 137 kW and four wheels (4WD) with 208 kW of power.
Even though it has a compact dimension, this car has a battery capacity large enough to 69.8 kWh from CATL which is able to provide a cruising range of up to 500 km in one charge.
Unfortunately, PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) has not announced the official price of the car. However, APM has opened a pre-order period at GIIAS 2024 by only paying Rp. 10 million.
Neta X
Neta again made a breakthrough by presenting the Neta X model to the Indonesian automotive market after successfully launching V and V-II.
Different from the previous two models, Neta X carries an SUV style so that it has a larger dimension and facilitates the utility needs of urban people. Not only that, the car is presented with a futuristic design.
Neta X comes with a length of 4,619 mm, a width of 1,860 mm, and a height of 1,628 mm and a configuration of five seats. Thus, this answers the needs of Indonesian customers who want a maximum practicality side.
Regarding performance, this car has a 120 kW electric drive and 210 Nm torque which offers instant responses but still prioritizes comfort.
The car also has a large capacity battery of up to 63.56 kWh which is claimed to cover a distance of 480 km in one charge and is one of the highest in its class.
PT Neta Auto Indonesia has not disclosed the official price of this vehicle. However, this manufacturer from China announced pre-booking for Neta X at a price of IDR 460 million to IDR 490 million for Indonesian consumers.
GAC Aion Y Plus
GAC Aion is one of the newcomers to the Indonesian automotive industry. However, the products offered are not kidding. The model named Y Plus marks the beginning of this manufacturer's work in the Indonesian market.
This compact crossover SUV has a length dimension of 4,535mm, a width of 1,870mm, a height of 1,650mm, and a wheelbase of 2,750mm. In view, the GAC Aion exterior comes with an interesting combination of forces, making it look striking.
The Guangzhou, China-based manufacturer also provides it with a revolutionary magazine battery 2.0 technology and is the safest in the world, represented through Aion Y Plus. With the presence of reliability in this energy storage, users can save achievable energy charging time of about 45 minutes from zero to 100 percent.
Built on the AEP 2.0 platform, the car has an electric motor with a magnitude of 150 kW and a torque of 225 Nm. In the Indonesian market, Y Plus will be present in two battery variants, namely 63.2 kWh on the Premium type which provides a range of 490 km and Exclusive power with a 50.6 kWh battery with a distance capacity of 410 km.
GAC Aion Y Plus comes in Indonesia at competitive prices ranging from IDR 415 million for Exclusive and Premium types worth IDR 475 million on The Road DKI Jakarta.

Volvo EX30
Volvo, an automotive manufacturer from Sweden, has again attracted attention at the Indonesian electrification market by presenting EX30. This car is the first compact SUV ever presented by the brand.
The model is positioned as an EV at affordable prices in Europe and the United States with a price range of 40 thousand US dollars (equivalent to Rp648 million) and EX30 also won the 2024 World Urban Car award and one of the three best cars in the world in a New York International Auto Show nomination.
EX30 is also designed with a charming design. Its modern and elegant appearance combines a distinctive style of Volvo with futuristic elements. The model has a compact dimension, with a length of 4,223 mm, a width of 1,937 mm, a height of 1,555 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,650 mm.
Volvo offers this model in two variants, namely Plus and Ultra. Both types have an impressive number of performances and distances with the choice of Single Motor and Single Motor Extended versions.
Volvo offers EX30 with a range of up to 476 km according to WLTP with NMC and LFP battery options. Then, its performance is supported by a single rear-wheeled electric motor with a power of 200 kW
