Regarding Sohibul's Opportunities For Iman To Be Canceled As Cawagub Anies, PKS DKI: The Authority Of The DPP

JAKARTA - Chairman of the DKI Jakarta PKS Regional Leadership Council (DPW) Khoirudin admitted that his party's determination to continue to carry Sohibul Iman, a candidate for Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, assistant to Anies Baswedan, is under the authority of the PKS Party Leadership Council (DPP).

As is known, PKS has declared that it will support Anies as the governor of DKI Jakarta by pairing the Deputy Chairperson of the PKS Syuro Council as the cawagub.

However, the proposed name Sohibul Iman has not yet been approved by the party that also carries Anies, such as PKB and NasDem.

"Whether (the name Sohibul Iman) can still shift or not, this is the authority of the DPP," Khoirudin told reporters, Friday, July 26.

Thus, Khoirudin admitted that the PKS management in Jakarta was still socializing the name Sohibul Iman as a candidate for cawagub as long as the DPP decision had not changed.

"We are implementing the DPP's decision, namely the socialization of the AMAN (Anies-Sohibul Iman) pair," explained Khoirudin.

Some time ago, Deputy Chairperson of PKB Jazilul Fawaid emphasized that his party had not approved Sohibul Iman to be Anies' companion.

Jazilul said that many of his cadres had the same quality as Sohibul. "If the PKB cadres are at Pak Sohibul Iman's level, even above it, there are many stocks. Therefore, we need to sit together," said Jazilul at the PKB DPP Office, Monday, July 22.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar admitted that the formation of a coalition of parties carrying a candidate pair for regional head did not always run smoothly.

This was revealed by Cak Imin when responding to the development of PKB investigations in the DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election.

Although he did not clearly mention the nomination in Jakarta, Cak Imin admitted that there was an opportunity that the coalition party being built would change if there was no agreement regarding the determination of one of the candidates.

"Everything else is in the Pilkada desk, yes. The development changes every day. I have supported A, suddenly the coalition map has changed. I have supported B, suddenly the representatives are not suitable. Well, it all becomes a pilkada problem that I cannot convey because the regional election desk can develop," said Cak Imin at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Tuesday, July 23.

The Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives also revealed the possibility of a coalition carrying the same governor candidate being disbanded if he did not agree in determining his deputy governor candidate.

"For example, a candidate for governor A for the coalition asked for his deputy, but PKB didn't want to, disband again. That's a lot in both city and provincial districts," said Cak Imin.
