JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that weather conditions in big cities in Indonesia will generally be covered with clouds and light rain on Friday, July 26.

"In Java, the potential for cloudyness is predicted in Jakarta and Bandung. For Semarang, Serang, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya areas, it is predicted that it will be cloudy," said BMKG forecaster Eriska Febrianti.

In Sumatra, cloudy weather is predicted to occur in Banda Aceh, Tanjung Pinang, Pekanbaru, Padang, Medan, and Jambi. Meanwhile, Bengkulu, Lampung, and Pangkal Pinang are predicted to be cloudy.

"In the Denpasar, Mataram, and Kupang areas, light rain is forecast," he said.

In the Kalimantan region, foggy weather has the potential to occur in Samarinda, while Pontianak and Palangkaraya have the potential to be cloudy. Tanjung Selor and Banjarmasin have the potential for light rain.

Then, moving to the Sulawesi area, a number of areas such as Mamuju, Palu, Kendari, Gorontalo, and Makassar are predicted to experience light rain. Manado is predicted to be cloudy.

In Eastern Indonesia, areas such as Ternate, Sorong, Ambon, Nabire, Jayapura, Jayawijaya, and Merauke are forecasted for light rain. Manokwari is cloudy.
