The Head Of The Bogor Regency Government Office Was Also Arrested By The KPK In The Extortion Case

Bogor Regent Asmawa Tosepu said that one of the heads of offices within the Bogor Regency Government, West Java, was also secured by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in an extortion case.

Asmawa revealed that of the six people arrested by the KPK, one of them was the head of the service.

"The case is extortion, one driver, and four civil servants. One of the civil servants is the head of the service, only who is still looking for," Asmawa said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, July 25.

He admitted that he was still investigating the extortion case involving the four ASNs of the Bogor Regency Government.

"Now we will see first, what the construction looks like, what is part of the perpetrator, it will be revealed later. Surely law enforcement officers will reveal this clearly," he said.

The KPK previously arrested one person with the initials YS for claiming to be a KPK employee and extorting a state civil servant (ASN) in the Bogor Regency Government.

"The team secured the person in question at the Mang Kabayan restaurant in Bogor Regency at around 13.30 WIB," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika at the Merah Putih building.

Tessa explained that on Thursday morning her party received a report about a person with the initials YS who claimed to be a KPK employee and blackmailed an official within the Bogor Regency Government.

The official was asked for a sum of money by YS and on that report the KPK sent a team consisting of investigators, investigators and inspectorates to ascertain whether the person was actually a KPK employee or not.

The KPK team then confirmed that the person had received money from the reporting party and immediately arrested YS at around 13.30 WIB.

The KPK team then took YS to his residence at Villa Bogor Indah Housing in Bogor City in order to collect evidence.

In this activity, KPK investigators confiscated Rp300 million in cash, an iPhone brand cellphone and a white Porche vehicle.

The next team took YS to the KPK's Merah Putih building for further clarification

"From the results of the clarification, it was concluded that the person was not a KPK employee and only operated alone," said Tessa.

The KPK will then hand over YS along with his money, goods and vehicles to the police, in this case, the Bogor Police for further processing.
